I’m running for the Atlantic County Freeholder board because I want to expand on the good work I’ve done in Somers Point. I want to work with our freeholder board to take Atlantic County Higher.
Expanding opportunities in Aviation
Drawing on my military and federal law enforcement experience I want to work with the County Administration, and our federal partners to bring more jobs to the airport complex. Good, high paying jobs that will keep Atlantic County families here for years to come. With the FAA Technical Center, the Atlantic City International Airport, the NARTP and Atlantic Cape Community College we are well-positioned to attract students who can be trained for tomorrow’s high tech jobs supporting aviation.
Supporting our Veterans
I want to do more to support our Veterans. Each day we lose 22 veterans to suicide and I want us to do more to see that we support those who have volunteered to give so much for our country. As a Veteran myself I have seen first hand how difficult it is to work with the VA and other agencies to obtain benefits. I want to partner with our Congressman Jeff Van Drew to bring more Veterans resources to Atlantic County and make sure we are giving back to those who have given us so much.
Keeping the Garden State Green - Protecting Atlantic County
The environment is important to all of us. Across our country, from beaches in the shore communities to the farms in the Western end, I want to make Atlantic County a place where there are green spaces, clean air and ample opportunities to teach our children about the environment. We have done great work with our wind farm and the investments we have made with the open space preservation trust. I want to do all we can to keep Atlantic County green, and to make sure that we continue to use agencies like the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) to make green investments in our communities through grants, and innovation. Atlantic County is a beautiful place, and I want to do my part as a Freeholder to keep it that way.
